For most of 2023–as I’m sure some of you have noticed–I have been documenting the local riparian landscapes along the lower American River. These hidden gems are the perfect escape from my day-to-day routine as they help me stay grounded and inspired. And after hundreds of photographs throughout countless hikes along these trails, I decided to narrow down the collection and choose some favorites to place in a small field book for myself as a way to commemorate this hidden world…
